Data Protection & Privacy

The rapid development of information technology resulting in an inevitable increase in the amount and type of data exchanges and evolving the way and purpose in which data is processed, leads to legal concerns regarding data protection, information security and privacy. EU data protection legislation is facing huge changes in order to correspond to these developments. Namely, the GDPR and the reforms that take place in the e-privacy legislation introduce major legal changes, strenghten data protection and harmonise the data protection legislative regime within the internal market.

We have a solid background and significant experience in the data protection and privacy law. Following closely the latest developments, our commercial law team has attended courses organised by specialised providers to gain an in-depth and profound knowledge of the legal aspects and adequately familiriase with the technical aspects, of the new legislative regime. One member of our team has been certifed as a DPO which is a valuable role for ensuring greater GDPR compliance.

We regularly provide advice to our clients and help them organise workshops to ensure compliance with the latest developments in this field. Our team prepares privacy notices and policies, binding corporate rules, data processing agreements and assists our clients to cross-border transfers of personal data.
